Morgans Legacy

keeping my son's name alive

10/20/2025

I am not sure if we have the same audience here as we do on Facebook, but just in case we don’t today I would like to tell everyone what we have have been up to.

I learn so much everyday. I try to set goals on how I would like to get things set up. It’s all coming together day by day.

We set Morgans Legacy as a way to not only keep his name alive but to also help the community around us. We have been collecting unwanted items to hand out as donations. Kids clothing, Woman and mens items. Shoes, House hold items, blankets and heavy winter coats as well as gloves, scarfs and toboggans. We have already handed out items to “Jack’s closet” which gives to foster kids. We have given baby items to “A Caring Place” which helps mother’s in need. We gave items to impacting tomorrow and last but never least we have donated a truck load to the homeless. I think that donating to the homeless was the most wholesome feeling. We each take for granted things everyday. We are lucky enough to have a roof over our heads, a job to go to each day, clothes on our backs and food to fill our stomach. When we handed out to the homeless they were grateful for just a simple turtle neck or a blanket to place under the tarp that they had. I am sure most of us could take a look around and realize how good they have it. I know that life happens to all of us, but some of us definitely take for granted what we do have.

I personally have gone through so much in my life, loosing my son has been the worst thing I have ever had to endure. But we are trying our hardest to bring something positive out of this. It’s not been easy. The days I go quiet are the days that my grief over takes me. There is not a moment in my day that Morgan is not on my mind. It doesn’t matter what I am doing. I just hope that he is watching over all of us smiling and being proud of the small amount of work we have already accomplished.

Your resilience after such a tragedy is a beautiful example to the world. The fact you have turned your story into a positive light with all the donations is amazing. You are a great role model and even though I cannot say I knew your son, I am sure he would be proud of you.
